About Ram Ganeshan

Ram is the D. Hillsdon Ryan Professor of Operations and Logistics management at the Mason School of Business Administration, The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA.

Ram is a recognized expert and a thought leader in operations and supply chain management. He is a regular contributor to academic and trade journals and is the co-editor of two books: Quantitative Models for Supply Chain Management and New Directions in Supply Chain Management: Technology, Strategy, and Implementation. In 2001, he was awarded the Wickham Skinner Award for his research accomplishments by the Production & Operations Management Society.

In addition to his academic appointment, Ram also serves on several corporate advisory boards, helping companies embrace the latest developments business operations.  He has also consulted with a wide variety of firms on supply chain issues.

Ram is also an award-winning educator, and teaches students at all levels, from undergraduates to executives on making operations smart and sustainable. In 2006, he was awarded the Alumni Fellowship award which is given only to the College of William and Mary’s best teachers.
